An overview of the Level 1 Instructor certification riding standards. Updated 2015.
If you are looking forward to becoming an instructor and willing to take a course for it,
This is what you must check!
This video explains what the course conductor or examiner would expect from you in terms of riding standards.
One thing most candidates find difficult in the level 1 and 2 course is they tend to ride with their own standards, which can be too advanced and not demonstrating the exact components that the beginner snowboarders need to work on.
So we need to make sure to familiarize ourselves to those movements, practice to tone it down a bit to meet those standards.
It has been a while, like 11 years, for me to have taken CASI level 1 course at Whistler Blackcomb.
However this video still gives me a lot of components to think about when teaching beginners and low level riders.
